I received the following Sunday night via email:
Should there be a National MLS?
This has been a hot topic in the real estate grapevine. Is it a good idea?
Is one on the way? Will such a thing work?
If you have ever felt frustrated by the fees imposed by your local MLS and associations we ask that you please visit the following website.

Please take a few seconds to answer just 4 simple questions. Things CAN change and this is the first step.
Thank you.
So I am asking, what do you think?

What was that link meant to be to?
As far as I know NAR is cooking up a National MLS. What that turns out to be, I guess we’ll have to see.

I am not posting the link because I’ve yet to actually link it to NAR or our local board. I’ll let you know tomorrow.
I am more curious about feelings on the subject- what would be the point, what would we want it to look like or functionality. I personally think it is a no-brainer if we as an associtaion want to compete. But I’m curious what my peers think.
Mr. X says an emphatic no. I’ve barely gotten through hacking the local MLS!
lol!
I’m pretty sure this isn’t from NAR. I wrote about it on my blog a few weeks back and then followed up on it based on some comments pointing to an agent in Florida.
