The “(unofficial) Top 50 Tweeple” has a very familar name (or two). . .

I don’t know if you’ve ever read the blog, “Stuff White People Like,” but you should.  I have the book, and it makes for great bathroom reading.  I wish I had thought of it.

I have, however, thought of an entry for “Stuff White People Like.”  I am going to call it “#347:  Lists of the Top ‘x’ of something”

Man, “Top” lists are popular.  It seems like every magazine has one (People’s is probably most famous).  Sportscenter has one at the end of the show every day.  Entire college alumni groups wait every week in anticipation of seeing their school in one (or two).  “Top” lists are popular everywhere, and the Internet is no exception.

That’s why I wasn’t surprised to come across the “Unofficial 2008 Top 50 Tweeples to Follow.”  This latest edition to the pantheon of “top” lists gives us the 50 people on Twitter who we should all be following.  In scanning the list, I noticed that I already follow most of them, so I guess that’s good.

I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find a VERY familiar twit-wit on the list– our very own @LaniAR.  I have always enjoyed following Lani on Twitter, and I know that my wife and mother-in-law do, too.

Ok, so now the list had my attention.  If Lani’s on it, then the list must be totally valid.  I took a closer look at the list, and recognized yet another familiar RE.net name, none other than @realestatechick.  How cool is that?  Real estate folks are very active in the Twitterverse, and it was good to see real estate so well represented.

Take a look at the list, and make sure you’re following the folks on there.  And as always, don’t be afraid to leave your Twitter name in the comments, we wouldn’t to miss any of the fine folks who comment here at AG.  Maybe I need to make a list of them. . .

Which reminds me, Stuff White People Like #348 should be: “Seeing their names on “Top ‘x’ lists”

:-D
