TinyPaste.com is a new tool that allows users to type unlimited text into a box, convert it into a very short url and share it on social media sites like Twitter that limit users’ message lengths. This concept is awesome and clearly born from the TinyURL site. I have a hard time fitting updates into 140 characters on Twitter and *hate* having to put a serious message into 5 separate direct messages, so as an example of its use, here’s my first tinypaste!

Nifty find! I’d have to believe that Twitter will eventually move beyond 140 characters, but at least this gives a work around for now.

Jennifer, I don’t think it will move past 140 characters because it is the fundamental reason Twitter is so successful- the wordiness is optional. It’s a platform built for quick snippets (and I’m convinced it’s designed for those of us with ADD)!

Ann, this is a great tool to use while in serious conversation on Twitter or with a client who prefers to communicate via Twitter (yes, they exist).

I do not twitter and I’ve been hearing that it may not be such a bad thing that I don’t. I do like the tiny paste tool though! I am wondering what other creative uses there may be.
