While NAR boasts 1.4 million(ish) members, the real estate blog scene can boast far fewer while the national real estate blog scene can boast even less. Even less in numbers are the real estate bloggers actively engaged in social media networking. By social networking, I don’t mean signing up for Facebook and Twitter and waiting for flies to come to the pretend honey, I mean people microblogging and engaging outside of blogs every day. Those people are few and far between.
One of the results of the tireless efforts of nearly every contributor at AgentGenius actively involved in social media is that we are becoming widely recognized outside of the real estate scene. For example, this week, Agent Genius was named the coveted “Successful Outstanding Blog Award” or SOB for short! Many industry professionals will recognize this award, which is a seal of approval from one of the greatest social media experts online.
Social Media and the forward momentum of technology have been an integral part of the conversation here at AG and we are proud to be recognized as part of the larger conversation online- congratulations go to the contributors and commentators! Thank you all!

Kudo’s to you both for the hard work being for being SOB’s. The others are included in this as well.
It’s a lot of work to run this. Thanks! It’s appreciated.
That’s awesome! Give yourselves a big pat on the back!
Too Cool! Congratulations, and I have now reached the point that I cannot do without my daily fix of AG!
A huge feather for your cap.
An SOB for the SOB’s. Pretty cool.
Okay, perhaps that will be the end of the SOB jokes, but I doubt it.
Successful and outstanding because you know that it’s about being helpful not hypeful and community. Look around at the folks here who are enjoying the fun. I was only acknowledging what’s already going on.
Nice work, Genii

Geeze this kid of ours is growing up. Liz Strauss, and Seth Godin commenting in the same week, not to mention input from Robert Clough- wow, head spin from all the star gazing. To all- thank you.
For those who say “we’re just another ……” We define who and what we are, not the crowd, but it’s damn nice when the crowd applauds, thanks again…

I love being an SOB!
…..and here Daniel thought the jokes were done!
Liz, your annual SOBcon is coming up soon too – would you be so kind to share some details with our community here ?
Don’t get too giddy…. I’ve yet to meet a Realtor who hasn’t been called an SOB…
Just kidding (mostly) this is a fantastic blog and the first one that I recommend to everyone! Where I’ve recently went on a rampage and deleted many other so-called industry blogs, I’ve actually changed the name in my reader to ensure that this one comes up first in the morning. You folks do a great job!
I know that the RE.net is a small fraction of the Realtor community and I am not so sure that’s a bad thing. I know that NAR has taken more interest in the re.net than any other sub-category of membership. Recently NAR has met with and sent representatives to re.net groups to get feedback. Those few of us involved with healthy interactions on-line are getting the attention of NAR and may be influencing them more positively than any other venue right now.
Keep up the incredible work!
Awesome! Congrats Benn & Lani – all of that hard work is paying off. And congrats to the contributors! We’re SOB’s by association.
That’s awesome! Give yourselves a big pat on the back!
