Like stealin’ candy from a baby…

We’ve talked about turning an RSS feed into a PDF, how to slice & dice PDFs, how to carry a PDF creator in your pocket and today we move on to turning a PDF into a Word Document. Brace yourselves, this is complicated:

Step One: go to ConvertPDFtoWord.net.
Step Two: click “browse” and find the PDF on your desktop.
Step Three: click “convert and download” button.
Step Four: enjoy your new word doc.

    Pretty cool, but all it does is create a graphic image inserted in a Word Doc. You can’t edit the text. Is there anything out there that will take the PDF into Word as editable text, with the formatting still in place? Now that would be cool!

    John Kalinowski,
    You uploaded a graphic file to it. For example it was probably a scan of a document?
    There is no way to take that to text unless you have OCR software.

    What this service will do is take a file that was originally created in Word, Indesign, Etc and let you get the text out.

    I confirmed this through a test I did.
