Great post, I know I have to stay a head of the curve with these awesome new tools. AG you guys are the best!! I’m gonna have to post a GOGGLE logo on my sign riders. Will they have the reverse technology so we can see who goggled us? like the Text-In sign riders. Gotta capture those leads right?

  2. Ken Brand

My head is spinning and my grin is splitting my face in two. Seriously. What an amazing future…the question is – will I be part of it?

Thanks for sharing. It’s the sharing of knowledge and information and what we do with it that makes all the difference.

    Thanks Benn.

PS. Have you seen the new iPhone app (free for now) – Dragon Diction. Just talk. It transcribes and then you can sent to eMail, Posterous, text, facebook, Twitter, etc. WTH. Life is good.

Exciting! I saw this being demonstrated on a television program about Google. If you let your mind wander a bit you can see many applications for a technology like this.

Goggles are far from the only “Augmented Reality” project/format in the works right now, but I would suggest it’s the most important. The standards Google creates tend to become ubiquitous later on, and it’s a safe bet that other players in AR are looking to the big G for some “Best Practices” guidelines.

Any realtor who gets it right on Google Goggles will probably be making their information accessable through dozens of competitor systems, too.

Wow-an impressive upgrade to mobile search, and Google made another giant leap with Real Time Search released yesterday. Too bad Goggles is Droid only, can anyone say Bing, you’re up?

  6. Kristin Walker

Do you think that Google will integrate a Goggles Real Estate Search with a platform like Intelius or frankly just everything they already know about us? In this scenario, someone driving by a house could take a photo, search the house, and end up with name, phone number, relatives, income, age, mortgage history etc of the owner? (Plus of course everything a google search would normally yield on that person or house.) While I know my comment has a whiff of Big Brother paranoia (though I love Google products), I don’t see what could stop that from happening.

  7. Steven Beam

Wow I’m all over it. Amazing, amazing and more amazing every time I hear something about Google. I’m on board.

I totally agree with the paranoia but at this time in history they already have everything and then some on each and every one of us. What’s to stop them now. I think it’s too late to worry about it. I’ve lived with only a debit card for 10 years. I’m sure they have my life pattern figured out and probably know exactly where I’m going before I do. Sad.

Thanks Ken Brand for the iPhone App tip. I’m downloading as I type this.

Ben-Think you could do a follow-up to this in a few months to see how far it has come?

  8. Amy Lorenc

Great! Just finished uploading it to my android.

  9. SteveBeam

So I’m confused. I was reading their site and it doesn’t come out and say it doesn’t work on the iPhone but I didn’t see were it says it does? Can someone shorten my torture and tell this wannabegeek? I truly do not understand all of their android talk. I just want to use it. This may be better than crack?

  10. Lesley Lambert

I am in love with this. Fabulous, amazing potential….

  11. Terry McDonald

Jealous as well- the Android was way cool before this…Google is on a tear, what’s next?

  12. MIssy Caulk

I saw this in action recently with Amy’s husbands new phone. He has a special google phone not yet released and it works great.
