Can I use this if my MLS doesn’t allow agent IDX feeds?

  2. Shelly, Smarter Agent

Great question. If the MLS allows brokers to “frame” their search for agents, the broker can sign up and the agent can have a framed version. What this means is that the branding will be that of your Broker, but just like “floor time” at the broker’s office, all calls will go to you from your framed version. If you need more information, please feel free to contact us.

Actually, Amy/Shelly, based on the rules of the Cincinnati MLS, an agent can only use the IDX 3rd party provider that their broker uses. And the rules also state that this can only be 1 3rd party provider. So, if your broker is using eNeighborhoods, or Point2Agent or Wolfnet or whatever, they CANNOT additionally use this product, since it would be considered a 2nd 3rd party IDX.
    Cincinnati is backwards and unprogressive.

I’ve followed Smarter Agent since I’ve started seeing their ads and emails. I really dig having it on my Google Phone. Mobile apps are a dime a dozen anymore. However, there is so much value to bringing IDX based search to GPS enabled devices for the home buying consumer. Nice work guys.

I spoke with the guys at Smarter agent over a year ago, they were just beginning. Looks like it’s time to add some new marketing to my arsenal.

How does the GPS Search Feature work? Is it available on all GPS enabled Smartphones? I downloaded a trial verson onto my Verizon Blackberry Curve, and it did not contain the GPS Search.
