One of my bookmarks is in the first screen cap! I just bookmarked that today :p

Thanks for the informative post on Dwellicious. I have high hopes for that site, we can only hope people adopt the concept!

Sounds good from the start – however my information from companies notes that they are often not willing to share their listings just anywhere on the web, as sites with whom they don’t currently contract for the feed can then demand the feed. So conceptually, if someone shares a listing on MySpace, couldn’t MySpace then demand the entire feed from that company?

First, thank you for featuring my listing (415 Dune Street – above) in your analysis of Dwellicious. Maybe it’s a small thing, but it was exciting to see that small detail when I was reading the post.

Second, I just got access to Dwellicious today and can’t say enough good things about it. Very impressed and anxious to see these rumored Pro features. And I’d love to see a co-branded version for agents, categories (for bookmarked properties) that each have their own RSS feed, and more social sharing options.

This is way cool. I’ve been waiting for someone to pull all of this stuff together. They’re going to be a hit and fast.

@Jon McAchran – Thanks for the suggestions.

‘…categories (for bookmarked properties) that each have their own RSS feed…’

    You can do this now:
    1. Tag your listings using descriptive keywords. You might tag homes for the Smiths with ‘Smith’ and beach homes ‘beach’. You can use multiple tags per listing.

    2. Filter your bookmarks by tag using the tag list on the right.

    3. Click on the orange RSS Feed icon. That will give you a unique feed of all the tags you’ve chosen.

Best thing is that any new listings you bookmark with those tags will automatically appear in the feed, as will any comment, price, photo, or status updates! That’s the power of ‘smart bookmarks’. You can subscribe to the feed, but even better – your clients (the Smiths) can subscribe to the feed – an automatically updated custom feed for each client!

but . . . will consumers use it?

I just sent the email for my beta invite, I am very excited to try this site out. Especially because it is a consumer site first, that is where most of these sites miss the boat. Thanks AG!

This is a great concept and a no brainer to the Real Estate World. Its not question that Social Media is moving up in ranks and should go well hand in hand with the Real Estate world. Can’t wait to see some good results.

@Dan Woolley – Thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for. Can’t wait for your launch… already very impressed!

  11. Dwellicious - NEW Real Estate Listing Bookmarker and Social Media site | The Seattle Specialist

[...] I’ve been waiting for service to come out that will put together the best of all the real estate web services out there that doesn’t come with an agenda. There are a number sites that specialize in various kinds of information about real estate, such as Zillow.com for valuations. WalkScore.com for the proximity of a home to “walkable” amenities, etc. Well, Dwellicious bookmarks listings and puts all this and more together in a way that agents, buyers, and sellers can all access and discuss properties for sale in an open environment. I first heard about this over at Agent Genius, who have been working closely with Dan Woolley and Greg Robertson on this. Dan and Greg have a long history in real estate software design and marketing, most recently at eNeighborhoods.com. For details of how to utilize this great new tool you should read Agent Genius’s extensive review. [...]

    Benn,
I just posted my own review of this cool application. I tried not to duplicate too much of what you have here, and referenced this blog for more detail.

  13. Real Estate Gets Social Bookmarking With Dwellicious | Social Media Vision

[...] Neighborhood information – This is a cool tool which shows you whats around in your neighborhood with pictures and maps showing you your local hot spots and stores.  Walkscore and Panorami by Google is the main source here. The best part of this service is that the website has all this information and tools to use for the listings all in one site instead of opening up 10 different windows to get all these information. The Major concerns are that if consumers will be encouraged to use this and it really depends on how the marketing will be played about  because we already know consumers are more online / social media savvy.   Dwellicious will just be another great Social Media tool for consumers to play with now when searching for houses [Further Reading] Agent Genius Featured Review: http://agentgenius.com/?p=7493 [...]

Great! Just one more “service” to pay for…

When does the “madness” stop? LOL…

  15. Jim Gatos

LOL.. I just read all about it, I can’t “use” it; it’s in beta and I have to wait until January..

I do see potential here and I like the concept. Actually I think this makes more sense than anything else I’ve seen, let’s just see what their pay scheme will be. I try very hard to have some profit at the end of the year LOL…
